Welcome to Axional Docs. This guide provides a short introduction about the differents elements to navigate and make actions through this web platform.
 

1 What is Axional Docs?

Axional Docs is a web platform to document Deister Software solutions.

This platform works like a Content Management System (CMS) where you can find all the information about how it works the solutions of Deister Software.

To navigate through the different solutions, use the right menu. Every solution is a folder which contains the documents about this product.

 

2 Folder

A folder is a container of subfolders or documents.

 

2.1 New document

To create a new document, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a folder from the menu within which the new document will be created.

  2. Click on the button New document, with icon, located in the folder buttons panel.

  3. Type the document name in the pop-up and clicking the button Create.

  4. Edit the XML default file and click the button Save .

 

2.2 New folder

To create a new folder, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a folder from the menu within which the new folder will be created.

  2. Click on the button New folder, with icon, located in the folder buttons panel.

  3. Type the folder name in the pop-up and clicking the button Create.

 

2.3 Rename folder

To rename a folder, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a folder from the menu, that you want to rename.

  2. Click on the button Rename folder, with icon, located in the folder buttons panel.

  3. Type the folder new name in the pop-up and click the button Rename.

 

2.4 Delete folder

To delete a folder, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a folder from the menu, that you want to delete.

  2. Click on the button Delete folder, with icon, located in the folder buttons panel.

  3. Click on the button Delete, in the confirmation pop-up.

The folder to delete must be empty

If contains some directory or document, an error message will be displayed.

 

2.5 Reorder folder

To reorder folders, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on the button Reorder folder, with icon, located in the folder buttons panel.

  2. Drag and Drop the folders and documents to reorganize the folder directory.

 

2.6 Print folder

To print a folder, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a folder from the menu, that you want to print.

  2. Click on the button Print folder, with icon, located in the folder buttons panel.

  3. All documents within the selected directory will be transformed to a PDF file, which is opened automatically.

 

2.7 Copy URL

To copy to clipboard a folder URL, click on the button Copy URL, with icon, located in the folder buttons panel.

 

2.8 Preview

An index.xml is a special document which shows a preview or additional information about a folder content.

When the system detects there is an index document inside a folder, then a new "Preview" tab appears, in the folder tabs panel, showing its content.

Special document

Index document does not allow any ordering and is not visible in the left panel tree by unlogged users.

 

2.9 Content

The folder tab Content show a list of the documents that the folder contains.

Every document of the list, show a tree list of links of its sections, to navigate directly to the desired section.

 

2.10 Media

To upload an image or video to some document, you have to upload it to the parent folder. This media file will be accessible from any document that belongs to this folder.

These files will be keeped in the folder tab Media. Inside this folder, it is shown a grid of all the media files uploaded. Every media can be deleted, clicking its delete button , or rename the file, clicking on its name.

To add a new media file to a folder, it will be through the blue box above the files grid. You can drag a drop your local media files or click on the blue box to upload your media files with the file inspector.

 

3 Document

A document is an XML file which the application does automatically transform to an HTML page.

 

3.1 Edit document

To edit a document, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a document from the menu, that you want to edit.

  2. Click on the button Edit document, with icon, located in the document buttons panel.

  3. Edit the XML file and click the button Save , to save your changes.

 

3.1.1 Editing options

  • Preview: the document can be previewed during the XML edition by clicking the button Preview .
  • Validate: the XML code can be validated before saving the document by clicking the button Validate .
  • Cancel: to discard the changes and return to the document, clck the button Cancel .
  • Save: to save the changes, click the button Save . Click the sub-option Save & Exit to save and return to de document.
 

3.2 Rename document

To rename a document, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a document from the menu, that you want to rename.

  2. Click on the button Rename document, with icon, located in the document buttons panel.

  3. Type the document new name in the pop-up and click the button Rename.

 

3.3 Delete document

To delete a document, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a document from the menu, that you want to delete.

  2. Click on the button Delete document, with icon, located in the document buttons panel.

  3. Click on the button Delete, in the confirmation pop-up.

 

3.4 Print document

To print a document, follow the indications below:

  1. Click on a document from the menu, that you want to print.

  2. Click on the button Print document, with icon, located in the document buttons panel.

  3. The document will be transformed to a PDF file which is opened automatically.

 

3.5 Add media

Like we said in the folder section Media, to upload an image or video to some document, you have to upload it to the parent folder.

However, there is a quick access to upload a media file when you are in a document view:

  1. Click on the button Add media, with icon, located in the document buttons panel.

  2. Through the blue box of the pop-up, drag a drop your local media files or click on it to add your media files with the file inspector.

 

3.6 Copy URL

To copy to clipboard a document URL, click on the button Copy URL, with icon, located in the document buttons panel.
