There are two configuration levels:

  1. User interface configuration: Adjust background image, colors, etc.
  2. User or device configuration: Configure parameters per device or user such as language, touchscreen settings, etc
 

1 Configure Device Types

Configuration of user settings. Each user can have their own parameters set such as language, time before timeout, as well as other parameters related to their device type.

Decimals Decimals
Scanner suffix Suffix used by the barcode scanner. This suffix is programmed into the scanner and attached to the barcode reading.
Touchscreen Indicates whether or not a device is touchscreen-enabled. When disabled, buttons will be hidden and their functions can only be accessed via hotkeys.

  • Default: 0
  • Values:
    • 1: Yes.
    • 0: No.
Font size Font size

  • Default: 0
  • Values:
    • 0: Normal. Normal
    • 2: Hight. Hight
Hide the form title When active, the form title will be hidden in the toolbar.

  • Default: 0
  • Values:
    • 1: Yes.
    • 0: No.
Hide group labels Hide group labels when displaying past fields.

  • Default: 0
  • Values:
    • 1: Yes.
    • 0: No.
History display mode Field display mode when viewing history. By default, previous fields will be displayed as input fields. When Table mode is on, fields will be displayed in a table, with each row corresponding to a group and columns corresponding to fields.

  • Default: 0
  • Values:
    • 0: Default.
    • 1: Table.
Login control Control of concurrent user logins. If enabled, the same user will not be allowed to stay logged in simultaneously on multiple devices or browser tabs.

  • Default: 1
  • Values:
    • 1: Yes.
    • 0: No.
Timeout (min) Time in minutes before a session expires after user stops interacting.

2 Configure Menus

Menus follow a tree-based hierarchical structure. A menu item may contain more submenus or launchers to forms. Users are assigned to menus, and therefore distinct users will see different, personalized sets of menus.

Root menu The immediate parent menu this menu belongs to.
Order Display order
Next submenu Defines a submenu where other menus or launchers can be attached. If the Command field is filled out, its value must be set to Menu.
Description The label that will be displayed in the tree menu.
Type Type options (Menu, Function, External Program)

  • Default: M
  • Values:
    • M: Menu. Defines a submenu to be opened when user selects this menu folder.
    • F: Function. Defines a form launcher. The form in the Command field will be launched when user clicks this menu item.
    • R: Report.
Command Indicates the form (apps_wms_formath) to launch. When this field is not null, the menu type must be Function.
Image An icon that will be displayed instead of the standard icons for menu containers and form launchers.
