3.1.1 Delivery (IN)

  • Deliveries represent any movement type where products are sent to the device location.
  • 'Source' represents the source warehouse where the product originates from.
  • The device will confirm the entrance (arrival) of the product.
  • The device will be able to add items not included in the Delivery, if the user has the appropriate permissions.
  • Once the Delivery movement has been confirmed and synchronized to the central system, a corresponding stock adjustment will be performed.

3.1.2 Shipment (OUT)

  • Shipments represent any movement type where products are sent from the device location to a destination.

  • 'Destination' represents the warehouse where the products are sent.

  • The device will confirm the exit (departure) of the products.

  • The device will be able to add items not included in the Shipment, if the user has the appropriate permissions.

  • Once the Shipment movement has been confirmed and synchronized to the central system, a corresponding stock adjustment will be performed.

3.1.3 Recount

  • Recounts are a type of movement used to count product, normally showing information about the quantity which should be in stock. However, the recount movement can be set as a guided or blind recount. In the guided mode, the quantity of items which should be in the warehouse will be shown. On the other hand, for the blind recount, the quantity of items will not be shown.

  • The source/destination are informative, as the corresponding adjustments are performed in the device warehouse.

  • The device will confirm the recount.

  • The device will not be able to add items to the recount.

  • Once the Recount has been confirmed and synchronized to the central system, a corresponding stock adjustment will be performed.

3.1.4 Inventory

  • Inventories are documents used to obtain information on the actual stock at the device location.

  • The source/destination are informative, as the corresponding adjustments are performed in the device warehouse.

  • Inventories containing line items are called guided inventory. In guided inventory, the items to be counted are listed, and the quantities which should exist will not be indicated. If inventory documents are not broken down by line, they are called manual inventory, only indicating actual stock of the products added manually.

  • The device will be able to add items to the Inventory, if the user has the appropriate permissions.

  • Once the Inventory has been confirmed and synchronized to the central system, a corresponding stock adjustment will be performed.

3.1.5 Adjustment

  • Adjustments are a movement type used to obtain information on actual stock at the device location, then adjust stock levels.
  • The source/destination are informative, as the corresponding adjustments are performed in the device warehouse.
  • Adjustments can only be performed manually in the device, and only positive or negative product quantities can be indicated. As opposed to an inventory or a recount, the quantities reported in the Adjustment will be added to or subtracted from.
  • The device will be able to add items to the Adjustment, if the user has the appropriate permissions.
  • Once the Adjustment has been confirmed and synchronized to the central system, a corresponding stock adjustment will be performed.
