The Applications Explorer tool allows access to the system database. It can be found in the main panel. Click on the application icon located on the portal menu to enter the application explorer.


1 General View

Applications Explorer has the following structure:


Name Description
1 Servers Shows servers with databases the user can access.
2 Dictionaries Shows database dictionaries (by selecting a particular server or viewing all available servers) accessible to the user.
3 Databases Used to explore databases (by selecting a particular server or viewing all available servers) accessible to the user. For further information about Application Tools, see the section Applications.
4 Toolbar A bar to search databases by name and button for switching betwween list and card view.

1.1 Servers

On the left side of Explorer, a menu shows all servers with databases the user can access.

The user can see which server is currently selected by its color in the server menu.

  • By having none of the servers selected, the user can see all databases and dictionaries for available servers. This is the default option in Explorer.
  • By selecting a particular server, the user can view its databases and see which are available.
  • If the user is on a mobile display, this menu can be dropped down by clicking on this icon.

1.2 Databases

In this section, the user can view a list of all accessible databases.

1 Image Icon which identifies a database.
2 Description/Name Short name and description that identifies a database application.
3 More information Identification code on server, as well as permissions.

From a database, the user can access objects or main points of applications defined in the database dictionaries.

The user can also find database dictionaries:

Dictionaries define all objects which the user can access in a database.

4 Optional applications Which applications are enabled (OLAP, Portal Templates and Rest Application).

6 Web services Multiple services for eveery endpoint.

1.4 Types of View

Through the view menu, the user can choose between three different database views.

1.4.1 Grid View Format

The Default view, every database represented by a card.


1.4.2 List View Format

View databases and dictionaries in a list format.

When the user selects a database or dictionary, different options appear.
