Axional Studio provides an XSQL grammar based on common XML tags for all database engines in order to invoke SQL data transformation functions such as lpad, rpad, nvl, which depending on which engine database will execute the SQL statement, a compatible function is generated for that database.
These functions are divided into five categories:
